To be held in another’s mind is a precious thing. Equally precious is to hold another in one’s own.

About Me

Welcome! I’m happy you’re here.

I’m Jillian Bates, Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Washington State (LH 61102615) and Owner of Resonance Therapy.

My passion for working with expecting parents and parents of young children started over a decade ago. Through both personal and professional experiences, I understand the importance of supporting parents and caregivers through the joys and challenges of raising young children.

I graduated from with a Masters of Arts in Marriage and Family Counseling in 2018 from Gonzaga University (Go Zags!). It was during my graduate program and internship, working with parents of young children, when I knew I would spend my career supporting parents and caregivers in the early years of parenthood.

Prior to opening Resonance Therapy, I was a Perinatal and Infant Early Childhood Mental Health Therapist and Supervisor at a local community behavioral health agency.

Today, my passion continues to grow in working with pregnant, postpartum, and parenting individuals who are seeking support in various areas of their lives. This includes foster and adoptive parents and kinship caregivers.

Whether you're navigating pregnancy, adjusting to life with a newborn, or raising young children, it's common to feel a mix of joy, anxiety, grief, and exhaustion. It can also bring up feelings or memories from your childhood or of being parented and the desire to do things differently.

My approach is warm, collaborative, and attuned to the unique pressures of caring for young children. I offer a supportive space where your feelings and experiences are met with care and curiosity. My role is to walk alongside you through this season of life. Together, we’ll build tools to manage stress and reconnect with yourself—so you can feel more grounded, confident, and connected.
