Circle of Security Parenting is a parenting program based on decades of attachment research. It is designed to support you in understanding your child’s emotional needs and reflect on your experiences as a parent.

Learning Objectives of the Program:

•   Understand your child’s emotional world by learning to read the emotional needs

•   Support your child’s ability to successfully manage emotions

•   Enhance the development of your child's self esteem

•   Honor your innate wisdom and desire for your child to be secure

Circle of Security Parenting is an 8 week course that is designed to support you in understanding your child’s emotional needs. The course is made up of videos and short activities to promote individual and/or group reflections.

Learning Objectives of the Program:

•   Understand your child’s emotional world by learning to read the emotional needs

•   Support your child’s ability to successfully manage emotions

•   Enhance the development of your child's self esteem

•   Honor your innate wisdom and desire for your child to be secure

Depending if you are taking this class as a part of a group or individually, it can be anywhere from 1hr to 1.5hours per session. If you are interested in taking this course, we will explore your individual needs when we set the pace of the course.

No. Circle of Security Parenting (COSP) is not therapy. However, the course is designed to support your reflection on your child’s needs and your experiences as a parent. COSP can be a great supplement to individual or family therapy.
